SECOND BOOK OF THE WATCHTOWER THRILLERS

I said I would bring "Boston" back. Here he is!

Most of my writing turns into serial novels. I have a story to tell, and it takes anywhere from four to six books to finish it. This series is a little different. It's designed to be more episodic, although there are subplots that will tie all the novels together. Readers can enjoy the series if they jump in partway through, although it's always best to start with the first novel.

Boston has found himself in a predicament. He's still in love, and the woman he loves thinks he's dead. The instructors training him are falling for him. He has a gift that he regards as a curse and works for people he doesn't trust. Worst of all, nobody can know about his ability to see the memories of others - the consequences are too severe! All of those dramas will continually surface throughout this series.

"Excellent read that will keep it glued to the end."

This series will be an opportunity to explore taboo subjects, conspiracy theories, and the power of government. The Eyes of Innocents is the first leg of that journey. I learned more than I ever wanted to about human trafficking and the sex trade. While there is a political element in this novel, this is not a left vs. right subject, nor does it delve into the policies and moralities of illegal immigration.

This novel sets the stage for all the next to come.

PRAISE FOR THE EYES OF INNOCENTS

  • Author Carlson does it again. He has a unique way of crafting the unusual main character, Boston, in relation to others. In the process exposes the underbelly of sex trafficing. Excellent read that will keep it glued to the end.

    Amazon Review

  • Besides entertaining, was sadly informative about a world I wish I had never heard about. He could have, however, sweetened this bitter reality with a happy ending !

    Amazon Review

  • Boston's journey is addictive to follow - never predictable. Layers to sift through, kept me reading long beyond "just one more page." More please.

THE STORY

A year after “Boston” Hollinger was shot and left for dead, he’s been reborn as America’s latest secret weapon. The accident inexplicably allowed him to see the memories of others in his dreams, and Watchtower has helped him refine that skill. Now, he can see a person’s darkest secrets and most terrifying experiences while conscious.

With a need to prove his worth in the field, the team is met on their first mission in Phoenix with political intrigue and an embattled vice squad. Boston must use his gift to identify and bring down despicable human beings while working out his own issues. As the investigation progresses and a suspect escapes police custody, political tension rises, the stakes go up, and so does the body count.

The Eyes of Innocents follows five people caught in the business, investigation, and politics surrounding a modern form of human slavery. Desperate measures will be taken to dispense justice, but an ominous revelation could lead them to failure. Will an evil man walk free, or can he be brought down by a secretive hero seeing the world through the eyes of innocents?
