THE EYES OF OTHERS

FIRST BOOK OF THE WATCHTOWER THRILLERS

I first published The Eyes of Others in 2015 as a standalone work. It was adapted from a screenplay I had written title Through the Eyes of Others. It was a story meant to have a shocking ending and an unhappy yet satisfying ending where justice is served.

The problem was, the antagonist wasn't going to be around for a sequel, and, as some reviews pointed out, it was a missed opportunity to follow the escapades of someone with a unique skill set. "Boston" Hollinger was a soldier who experienced a terrifying traumatic brain injury in combat that was triggered again during his return to civilian life. Now he has strange dreams that aren't actually dreams at all - he is experiencing the memories of other people through their eyes.

"The ending was surprising and unexpected as well as thought-provoking, and stayed with me long after I had read the final pages of The Eyes of Others. An excellent read!"

The Second Edition of The Eyes of Others changes his story, although many of the key events and plots stay the same. The big change is the introduction to WATCHTOWER - an off-the-books group comprised of representatives from all of America's intelligence agencies designed to see threats where others don't and neutralize them.

I have great things in store for Boston in future novels. The possibilities of where his skill takes him are almost limitless. The whole time, he must deal with the one fact about himself that can't reconcile: nobody other than a select few members of WATCHTOWER even knows that he's alive, and never can.

THE STORY

A traitor is selling America’s secrets to the highest bidder. As FBI counterintelligence mobilizes to neutralize the threat, senators seek to exploit the crisis for political gain. With soldiers dying and government agencies pointing fingers at each other, a high-profile attack increases pressure on the nation’s politicians to find a scapegoat to save themselves. Now they’ve found one.

Hampered by strange dreams after an automobile accident aggravates an old traumatic brain injury, former soldier and intelligence committee staffer “Boston” Hollinger enlists the help of an attractive doctor to get to the bottom of the mystery. Together, they come to understand his condition’s true nature ― he’s not dreaming but somehow accessing other people’s memories while he sleeps.

The Eyes of Others follows five people navigating through a bureaucratic and political maelstrom during one of the most desperate, high-stakes mole hunts in American history.
