Christmas is a time for joy, but for one family in St. Louis, it’s anything but. After their son is diagnosed with the chronic “Christmas disease,” a crowdfunding effort is launched to procure the costly drug he needs to lead a somewhat normal life. But the young boy has a different wish – he wants Santa Claus to visit the hospital so he can prove to his twin sister that he exists.

Not wanting to let a political opportunity go to waste when the request goes viral, the White House chief of staff dispatches communications director MacKenzie Walsh to Finland to bring Santa to the United States. There is one major problem – St. Nick won’t come unless two very special people ask, and they aren’t talking to each other.
