Every heroine has a backstory.

Victoria Larsen and Tierra Campos have very different backgrounds when they begin investigating student-turned-gun-control-activist Ethan Harrington in Brockhampton, Massachusetts in Justifiable Deceit. One was confident and driven, having graduated from Quantico and acheieving great success in the Boston Field Office after taking down the notorious Devil Rancher. The other shy and reserved, still traumatized by a school shooting that changed the trajectory of her life.

Both of these character arcs are compelling when they come together in Justifiable Deceit, but how did these two strong women get to the point where they could work together? That is what these prequels will aim to explore. Along with plans to highlight some of the serie's other prominent characters, these novellas will explain the backstories that led to Tierra's rise to national prominence and Victoria's legendary status in the FBI.
