A journalist and an FBI agent meet at a bar… It sounds like the start of a bad joke, but that is essentially how these two amazing women met. There is no love lost between federal agents and reporters, so who could know that they would set aside their prejudices and trust each other to uncover some of the nation’s most dangerous conspiracies?

The two women have very different backgrounds when they begin investigating student-turned-gun-control-activist Ethan Harrington in Brockhampton, Massachusetts. Victoria was always driven to become an FBI agent. She has a brilliant track record but is known as a maverick within the Bureau. Tierra is the shy survivor of a school shooting who is thrust on the national scene by accident. What they learn about each other is only surpassed by what they learn from each other.

Following the events in Justifiable Deceit, the women stumble upon a plot to influence the New Hampshire Democratic Primary and manipulate the upcoming presidential election. The stakes cannot be higher – the fate of the Republic and the democratic election of our leaders hang in the balance. They must work together to uncover the co-conspirators and stop them while powerful organizations and the government work against them.

The FBI and the media are two of the most demonized groups in America today. Many would say that’s for a good reason. Victoria and Tierra embody the characteristics we want in our reporters and federal agents: courage, integrity, persistence, intelligence, and unbiased dedication to facts. What makes this series even more fascinating is how they work together, not to enhance their careers but to bring justice and truth to the American people.

Tierra’s and Victoria’s current story arc spans five novels. Narrow Escape: The Summerville Massacre serves as a prequel that describes Tierra’s harrowing high school shooting and the motives behind it. A prequel is planned for Victoria Larsen as well. A continuation of the Tierra Campos Series is expected with a sequel trilogy that is under development.
